Streaky Bay
A laid-back foreshore town named by Matthew Flinders, and the base for exploring Murphy's Haystacks, Point Labatt and the western surf coast.
Streaky Bay
Streaky Bay takes its name from the streaks of seaweed Flinders saw in the water in 1802. Today it is the friendly hub of the far west coast — a town of jetty-jumping kids, foreshore oysters and big skies. Murphy's Haystacks, the Point Labatt sea-lion colony, the Talia Caves and the celebrated surf of Sceale Bay and Locks Well are all on its doorstep.
