Oysters & Jade
Cowell
A quiet east-coast town with a celebrated oyster lease and the largest jade deposit in the southern hemisphere.
Cowell
Cowell sits on Franklin Harbour, an almost landlocked bay that produces prized oysters. The town is also home to one of the world's largest known jade deposits, mined in the nearby hills. With safe swimming, easy fishing and a heritage main street, Cowell is a classic, unhurried Eyre Peninsula stop on the Lincoln Highway.
