Yanerbie Sand Dunes
A vast field of white coastal sand dunes near Sceale Bay, popular for sandboarding, beach fishing and big ocean views.
Between Streaky Bay and Sceale Bay, the Yanerbie dunes rise in a great pale field of mobile sand behind a wild stretch of coast. The dunes are a favourite for sandboarding and for kids to run and tumble down, while the beach below offers fishing and long, empty walks.
The dunes shift and reshape with the wind, so the landscape is always changing. It is a remote, scenic spot, so bring water and sun protection, and take care if driving on the soft sand tracks.
