Farm Beach
A working beach near Coffin Bay famous for the line of vintage tractors used to launch fishing boats across the sand.
Farm Beach, on the coast near Coffin Bay, is one of the Eyre Peninsula's quirkier sights. With no boat ramp, local fishers have long used a fleet of old tractors parked along the foreshore to push their boats across the sand and into the gulf, and the weathered line of tractors has become an icon in its own right.
Beyond the tractors, it is a broad, calm beach good for swimming, beachcombing and watching the working boats come and go. Nearby Gallipoli Beach was a filming location for the 1981 film, adding to the area's appeal.
