Denial Bay Jetty & Oysters

A historic jetty and oyster-growing settlement near Ceduna, with calm-water fishing and farm-fresh oysters at the source.

Denial Bay, a short drive west of Ceduna, is one of the oldest settlements on the far west coast and a heart of the region's oyster industry. Its long jetty reaches out over calm, clear water that has supplied oysters to tables around the country.

Visitors come to fish from the jetty, taste oysters close to where they are grown, and soak up the quiet, end-of-the-line atmosphere. The nearby McKenzie Ruins recall the area's pioneering past. It is a low-key, authentic stop on the way to or from the Nullarbor.
