Elliston Town Murals
A series of large public murals around Elliston telling the story of the district's people, farms and coast.
A town that paints its story
Elliston has a long love affair with public art. Around the little town you will find a series of large murals on community halls, sheds and walls, depicting the people, the farming and fishing life, and the spectacular coast that defines the district.
The murals grew out of community projects that brought artists and locals together, and they make a self-guided wander around the town a small pleasure in its own right — a chance to read the place's character off its walls before heading out to the cliffs.
Combined with the sculptures along the Great Ocean Tourist Drive nearby, Elliston punches well above its size as a destination for outdoor art.
