Two dramatic coastal formations near Elliston - a vast granite cave called The Woolshed and a deep cliff-edge sinkhole called The Tub.
Where the ocean carved the cliffs
The Talia Caves are two contrasting coastal features just off the road between Elliston and Streaky Bay. The Woolshed is a huge granite sea cave, its smooth walls hollowed out by the relentless Southern Ocean, reached by a short walk and a set of steps down the cliff.
A little further along, The Tub is a deep circular sinkhole in the limestone cliff-top, with the sea churning far below. Both are spectacular, raw and unfenced in places, offering a vivid sense of the power that shapes this coast.
