Galloping Greens & Port Lincoln Cup
Country horse racing on the shores of Boston Bay
Racing by the bay
The Port Lincoln Cup is the centrepiece of the lower Eyre Peninsula’s country racing season, drawing a lively summer crowd to the racecourse on the edge of town. With Boston Bay glittering nearby, it pairs the spectacle of country horse racing with fashion, food and a relaxed seaside festival atmosphere.
A summer institution
Held over the holiday period, the meeting is as much a social event as a sporting one - a chance for locals and visitors to dress up, gather and celebrate. It’s a glimpse of the convivial, community-minded side of Port Lincoln away from its seafood and wildlife fame.
Dates shift each season; confirm with the racing club before planning.
