Fishery Bay

A Southern Surf Stalwart

A long, exposed surf beach near Whalers Way, one of the most consistent and well-loved breaks in the Port Lincoln area.

Port Lincoln's home break

Fishery Bay, on the wild south coast near Sleaford and Whalers Way, is one of the Eyre Peninsula's classic surf beaches. Open to the full force of the Southern Ocean, it offers long, powerful waves and the kind of uncrowded line-ups that west-coast surfers travel for.

The beach takes its name from the whaling and fishing history of the area. Beyond the surf it is a beautiful, remote stretch of sand backed by dunes, and a good spot to watch the swell roll in even if you're not paddling out.
