Cape Donington Lighthouse
A historic lighthouse at the tip of Lincoln National Park, looking out over Spilsby Island and the entrance to Boston Bay.
Cape Donington marks the eastern tip of Lincoln National Park, where a trim white lighthouse has guided ships into Boston Bay since the days of sail. The drive out crosses the heart of the park, and the cape itself is a fine place to watch the channel and the islands beyond.
Nearby Donington Beach and the surrounding coves offer sheltered swimming and snorkelling, while the headland is a good vantage for spotting dolphins, seals and the seabirds that work the channel. The lighthouse and its setting make this one of the park's most rewarding destinations.
A park pass is required and the access road is unsealed in places. Combine it with the nearby campgrounds and the Stamford Hill walk for a full day exploring the park.
