Ceduna Oysterfest
A whole festival devoted to the far west's oysters
Oysterfest is Ceduna's celebration of the industry that defines it. Held on the foreshore over the October long weekend, the festival honours the oysters grown in the clean waters of Ceduna, Denial Bay and Smoky Bay.
The program includes oyster-shucking and oyster-eating competitions, an abundance of fresh seafood, live entertainment, carnival rides, market stalls and fireworks over the water. It's a warm, community-driven event that marks the start of the warmer season at the gateway to the Nullarbor.
For travellers crossing the country, it's a memorable excuse to pause and feast on the far west's finest before the long drive west.
