A spectacular west-coast surf beach framed by granite boulders and looking out to Greenly Island, beloved by surfers and photographers.
Big swell and big granite
Greenly Beach, west of Coulta, is one of the most scenic surf spots on the Eyre Peninsula — a sweep of sand studded with enormous granite boulders, looking out across the water to Greenly Island. It draws a steady stream of surfers chasing its powerful, uncrowded waves.
Even without a board it is a glorious place: tidal rock pools, dramatic rock formations and big Southern Ocean sunsets. The surrounding coastline is largely undeveloped, reinforcing the sense that you have found somewhere special and wild.
